The ZWO IR-Pass Filter passes infrared light with a wavelength of more than 850nm while removing the parts of the visible spectrum affected by poor atmospheric seeing. When you image the planets or Moon with a monochrome or color CCD or CMOS astronomy camera and the ZWO 850nm IR-Pass filter, you get improved results when seeing conditions are less than ideal or when the object is near the horizon. You can also use this IR-pass filter to image planets during daylight because it darkens the background sky.
This filter is not suitable for visual observation.
The ZWO 850nm IR-Pass filter is housed in a 1.25" cell and comes with a protective plastic case.
