Most modern Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes come with a single speed stock focuser on the rear cell. While these stock devices do bring an image to focus, the focal point is extremely sensitive to the rotational position of the focuser knob. As a result, it’s often frustrating and time consuming to get objects to snap into sharp focus. The dual speed Starlight Instruments Feather Touch Micro Focuser is an ideal replacement for the stock focuser for your Meade 10” or 12” SCT. A joy to use, the Feather Touch Micro Focuser provides precise, buttery smooth control of standard and ultrafine 1/10-speed manual focusing to get the best possible images from your telescope.
The Starlight Instruments Feather Touch Micro Focuser is easily installed in place of the original focus knob on the optical tube. A built-in stop prevents the primary mirror from detaching from the focuser. The focuser is simple to install yourself in about 10 minutes. Detailed instruction are included.
