Please Note: If your telescope is less than a few years old, check the style of the back cell to see which version of the Feather Touch SCT Micro Focuser you need. Please refer to the images below. If your telescope has a flat back (left image), you need the standard "C" Micro Focuser (model # FTM-C9.25) and not this focuser. If your telescope has a triangular pattern on the back (right image), you will need this "CPC" version (model # FTM-CPC9.25) of the Micro Focuser.
Most modern Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes come with a single speed stock focuser on the rear cell. While these stock devices do bring an image to focus, the focal point is extremely sensitive to the rotational position of the focuser knob. As a result, it’s often frustrating and time consuming to get objects to snap into sharp focus. The dual speed Starlight Instruments Feather Touch Micro Focuser is an ideal replacement for the stock focuser for your Celestron 9.25” SCT. The Starlight Instruments Feather Touch Micro Focuser is easily installed in place of the original focus knob on Celestron CPC 925 and Edge HD 9.25” optical tubes. A built-in stop presents the primary mirror from detaching from the focuser. The focuser is simple to install yourself in about 10 minutes. Detailed instruction are included.
The Feather Touch Micro Focuser is precision-machined and anodized black with a brass fine-focus knob and is ideal for both imaging or visual observing.
