Please note: This is a "white-light" solar binocular. What this means is that even though the Sun might appear yellow-orange, a while light solar filter passes the full spectrum of white light, and it is a broadband filter. Such items can show some features on the Sun such as sunspots (when present). You cannot see solar prominences and flares with these devices; those require sophisticated and much more expensive narrowband H-alpha telescopes.
With this pocket sized instrument from Lunt Solar Systems, you can view and safely study Eclipses, Planetary Transits, and Sun Spot activity/magnetic storms.
Compact Lunt SUNoculars have a front mounted fully dense white light glass filters making Solar observation 100% safe.
These front filters are precision polished to ensure the highest level of viewing quality.
The light of the Sun is reduced to a comfortable 1x10-5% transmission and all ultra-violet and infrared components are completely and safely blocked.
Lunt SUNoculars are manufactured to the same standards of safety typical to the entire family of Lunt Solar products: the premier manufacturer of Solar telescopes and filters.
