Important Note:
For people with normal vision, this finder reaches infinity focus almost at the very end of the metal tube. The focus point is just about 1.25 turns inside the last thread. What this means is that you should be very careful when you first focus the finder as going past the focus point (last thread) could result in the dewshield (with the objective inside it) popping off in your hand or falling off. Once infinity focus has been reached and the lock ring secured firmly behind the objective/dewshield, everything will be fine. If you are nearsighted and observe without your glasses, you should have no problem reaching infinity focuser safely.
With a wide field of view and low-profile aperture, the iOptron 6x30mm Finderscope is an ideal finder for star-hopping navigation that won't add excessive weight or bulk to your OTA. The finder features single crosshairs (non-illuminated). It comes with its own bracket that is outfitted with a dovetail mount for compatibility with a wide array of finder saddles, and three thumbscrews that enable precise alignment with the OTA.
Please note that the bracket does not come with a Vixen/Synta-style dovetail base which must be purchased separately.
