This all-metal finder bracket will work with many 50mm finder telescopes sold on the market today (GSO, Orion, many Meade finders, etc. but not with Antares or Celestron finders). The finder features two metal thumbscrews with Delrin (plastic) tips and a spring loaded screw for quick and precise finder alignment. Note that the screws are no longer plastic as shown in the photo above.
Durable gunmetal gray finish. Bracket weighs 5.5oz (without dovetail base). The inner diameter of the bracket is 54.2mm and its length is 64.2mm, so please make sure that your finder tube will fit into this bracket before placing an order.
If you intend to use this finder bracket with your own dovetail base/shoe or with one already molded into your focuser housing, here are the "foot" dimensions so that you can check compatibility with your "shoe." We are unable to comment on the compatibility of this item with the many other bases on the market.
- Maximum width at bottom: 30.7mm
- Maximum width at top: 23mm
