Important note: The optical length of a standard Canon EOS T-ring is 11mm. However, this Founder Optics version has an optical length of 9.8mm, which is not common. What does this mean?
- If you plan to use your Canon EOS camera with an M42 prime focus adapter to insert into a scope's focuser with no additional corrective optics (flattener or corrector), then this length difference does not matter and you can use this T-ring.
- If you plan to use your camera with corrective optics (flattener or corrector) that usually have a 55mm back focus requirement, then you should not buy this item as you will end up at 53.8mm with this T-ring and this will probably not be optimal for image performance (unless you insert additional spacer rings in your image train to get back to 55mm).

- Founder Optics T-Ring to convert your Canon EOS camera's EF/EF-S mount to a standard T/T2 42mm thread for attachment to various astronomy accessories such as prime focus adapters, corrective optics, guiders, etc.
- Fits all Canon EOS SLR/DSLR cameras with EF/EF-S lens mounts
- M42 female thread on T-ring has a nominal diameter of 42mm and a thread pitch of 0.75mm
- Not for use with Canon EOS-R or EOS-M mount mirrorless cameras
- Not compatible with wide format 48mm or 54mm T-threaded accessories
- For use only with the smaller, more common standard 42mm T-threaded adapters and accessories which have a male M42x0.75 thread
- High-precision CNC-machined aluminum and black anodized
