- One side has a standard 2" 24TPI female SCT thread to connect to the rear cell thread of most Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes
- The other side has a male T thread to connect to cameras (via an appropriate T ring), or other T threaded imaging accessories
- Primarily used to attach a D/SLR camera to an SCT telescope for prime focus photography
