- Ultra hard 2"nose piece, with Baader proprietory Safety Kerfs (introduced with our Morpheus and Hyperion Zoom Mark IV eyepieces: the numerous shallow kerfs give additional grip and security from inadvertent slipping, without the annoying problems sometimes caused by traditional deep undercuts)
- 32 mm total length, 27 mm usable length (after threading)
- Focus side 2" (50.8mm) male thread (SCT thread) – incl. female M48 filter thread for cell mounted 2" filters
- Telescope side 2" outer diameter – also including 48mm filter thread for cell mounted 2" filters
- 47 mm inner diameter with flat black anti-reflex coating
- for numerous applications, such as mounting the Baader 6x6 T-adapter (T-2 component #17) onto 2" focusers. For improving the 2" nose piece of all Baader 2" star diagonals a.s.f.
This nosepiece/adapter # 2408156 has a standard SCT male thread (2"x24 TPI) to connect to the Baader diagonal body or any other SCT female threaded item on one side. The other (telescope) side has a standard 48mm (M48 x 0.75) female thread so it can accept 2" astronomy filters. The barrel is made of aluminum and the inside is threaded and painted flat black to minimize internal reflections.
Functionally identical to Baader item # T2-19 / 2408155 except that this has safety kerfs on the outside.
