New from Antares - Female SCT thread (visual back) with 1.25" twist lock eyepiece holder # SCT-TL
- Features standard 2" SCT female thread (2" dia x 24TPI) for attachment to most standard SCT telescopes
- Features twist lock mechanism with knurled ring and compression band to firmly hold 1.25" diagonals and other accessories
- And that's not all. Unscrewing the silver lock ring exposes a male T-thread on the lower black barrel, which conveniently functions as an SCT-to-T Thread adapter by itself. So you're actually getting two adapters for the price of one!
Includes 1.25" dust plug and rubber o-ring (place between adapter and male SCT thread of scope in case male SCT thread is longer than this adapter's female SCT thread; should not be required for most applications).

This is a brand new item from Antares. However, the machining and appearance of many Antares items can be far from perfect. It is not at all uncommon for their Canadian-made items to have improper anodizing, minor scratches or scuff or nick marks, or for the threads to be roughly cut or have sharp edges. These threads should work with most compatible accessories, but the connection may not be smooth or complete.
These products are well priced and very good for the money, but you may want to look elsewhere if you are looking for perfection or precision machining. If you decide to return this item because of this after purchase, we will be happy to take it back for a refund as per our standard return terms, but will not treat this issue as a defect since this is being disclosed and explained in detail here.
