Flexible rubber eyeguards reduce ambient light and glare reflections, thus protecting your dark adaptation, while providing the viewer with comfort for maximum visual effectiveness. Eyeguards assure proper eye-to-lens positioning and also protect the optical surface from grime and oil. The eyeguards are made of flexible, yet strong rubber so they will stretch a bit beyond the nominal diameter noted below to fit over many other eyepieces. Note that this style is of a more rigid design and does not offer the stretching or folding flexibility as some of the other eyeguards we offer.
Please note that these are sold individually.
Nominal diameter ~57.0mm (unstretched). Height = 14mm. From Agena's 2" UWA eyepieces. As a reference, the diameter of the barrel extension this eyeguard sits over on the UWA eyepiece is 57mm. Cannot be folded down. Made in China.
